Add Agent Minder to ChatGPT, step by step

In ChatGPT, outside tools are called plugins. You add Agent Minder once; it works on the web, the desktop app and the phone app. Agent Minder is listed in ChatGPT only after OpenAI accepts it; until then, testers use the steps under "Before Agent Minder is listed".

Agent Minder is being built and tested. These steps are for its testers; the app isn't available yet.

Last checked: 26 October 2026. ChatGPT is made by OpenAI, not by Agent Minder, and OpenAI hasn't checked these steps. Its menus can change. We check these steps against its own help pages every week.

Add Agent Minder from Plugins, once it is listed

On the web, the desktop app, iPhone, iPad, Android.

  1. Open ChatGPT and sign in.
  2. Open "Plugins" in the sidebar.
  3. Search for Agent Minder.
  4. Tap Agent Minder, then "Install plugin".
  5. Tap "Connect". ChatGPT opens agentminder.co.uk.
  6. Sign in there with your passkey (Face ID or fingerprint) and press "Yes, connect".

Not working?

Agent Minder isn't in Plugins yet

Until OpenAI lists it, testers add it on chatgpt.com with the steps under "Before Agent Minder is listed".

ChatGPT says it can't connect

Tap "Connect" again and sign in at agentminder.co.uk. If it still fails, remove the plugin and install it again.

It's a work or school account

Your workspace admin may need to allow Agent Minder first.

Before Agent Minder is listed (testers, on a computer)

On the web.

  1. On a computer, open chatgpt.com/plugins.
  2. Click the + button, then "Add custom MCP server".
  3. Type the name: Agent Minder.
  4. Under "Connection", paste the address into "Server URL".
  5. For authentication, choose "OAuth".
  6. Read the warning and click "I understand and want to continue".
  7. Click "Create as a plugin".
  8. Install it, click "Connect", sign in at agentminder.co.uk and press "Yes, connect".

Not working?

I don't see "Add custom MCP server"

It is on chatgpt.com in a browser on a computer, not in the phone app. If your plan or workspace doesn't offer it, write to hello@agentminder.co.uk and say which step.

Use it in a chat

On the web, the desktop app, iPhone, iPad, Android.

  1. Type @ in the message box and choose Agent Minder.
  2. If ChatGPT asks before Agent Minder acts, choose "Allow".
  3. To change that later, open "Settings", then "Plugins" (or "Apps"), then "Permissions".

Not working?

ChatGPT keeps asking before Agent Minder acts

That is ChatGPT's own check. Choose "Allow", or change it under "Settings", then "Plugins" (or "Apps"), then "Permissions".

Keep your Agent Minder rule in every chat

On the web, the desktop app, iPhone, iPad, Android.

  1. In Agent Minder, tap "Copy the rule only".
  2. In ChatGPT, open "Settings".
  3. Open "Personalization" (or "Customize ChatGPT" on a phone).
  4. Check "Enable customization" is on.
  5. Paste into "Custom instructions".
  6. Save.

Not working?

I can't find "Custom instructions"

On a phone it is under "Customize ChatGPT"; on the web and desktop, under "Personalization". Switch on "Enable customization" first.

Scheduled tasks

On the web, the desktop app, iPhone, iPad, Android.

  1. Open "Scheduled" in ChatGPT's sidebar.
  2. Open the task, then "Edit".
  3. Paste the task lines from Agent Minder ("Copy the task lines") at the end of its instructions.
  4. Save.

Not working?

A task doesn't check in

Open the task, choose "Edit", and check the task lines are at the end of its instructions.
